Yaniv Konchitchki

Tenured Associated Professor, Distinguished Teaching Fellow, Faculty Director, UC Haas Center for Financial Reporting and Management, UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business

Before earning his PhD, Prof. Konchitchki worked as a CPA and senior financial analyst for PwC and as an economist for Israel’s Securities Authority. He is a veteran of the Special Forces, as a soldier and commander. He is a founding father of macro-accounting, a new research field he helped develop. His research expertise is in corporate financial reporting and analysis, capital markets, valuation, financial technology and innovation, and macroeconomics. His work focuses on the modeling and the resolution of real-world problems with the goal of enhancing decision making, while employing tools such as econometrics, statistical/big data analyses, and programmed algorithms. He holds a BA and MA in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University, an MSc in Statistics from Stanford University and a PhD in Business Administration from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Christine Parlour

Professor of Finance, Sylvan C. Coleman Chair of Finance and Accounting, Distinguished Teaching Fellow, UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business

An expert in institutionally complex areas, such as market microstructure and banking, Prof. Parlour researches fintech, digital payments, credit markets, and finance and has served on the Nasdaq Economic Advisory Board and on the steering committee for the New Special Studies of Securities Markets. She holds a BSocSci from University of Ottawa, and an MA and PhD in Economics from Queen’s University.

Steve Tadelis

Professor of Economics, Sarin Chair in Leadership and Strategy, UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business

An expert in e-commerce and the economics of the internet, Prof. Tadelis has conducted on-site research at Amazon and eBay and focuses his academic research on the economics of incentives and organizations, industrial organization, and microeconomics. He holds a BA in Economics from University of Haifa, an MSc in economics from Techion, and a PhD in Economics from Harvard University.

Shachar Kariv

Benjamin N. Ward Professor of Economics, UC Berkeley Economics

An expert in economic theory, experimental economics, and behavioral economics, Prof. Kariv focuses his research on social networks, social learning, and personal and social preferences. He has served as the faculty director of UC Berkeley’s Experimental Social Science Laboratory, known as Xlab, and is cofounder of Xmobile, a platform for social science research related to smartphones. He holds a BA in economics from Tel Aviv University, and an MA and PhD in economics from New York University.
